The hotel is a little bit old but the decoration is good. The service is also good.

This hotel is amazing. It deserves all the praise that it receives. The location is wonderful, the decor is enchanting, the food is great and the service is fantastic. This hotel is run like a 5 star establishment.
Great. Works everytime.

We absolutely loved your beautiful hotel. The rooms were beyond what we would ve thought and decorated so Asian that we really felt on vacation. Felt very at home and comforting to know staff was extra helpful.

Amazing, had cheapest rooms on top floor, still 4 star! Had a couple of small hiccups but staff responded immediately and with good grace.
Restaurant resonated with ambiance from bygone era (food great, huge selection at complimentary breakfast to)Located right in middle of China Town, almost opposite wholesale markets. Will be back, hopefully in one of the gorgeous apartments on ground floor. Would highly recommend this hotel, although maybe better suited to adult guests [Thailand Guiden.se integr.ERR:escaping]

When we orderd something it takes very long time till we ve got it.. Then the staff didn t tell us about happy hour. By breakfast we didn t get a menu to choose. We have heard from the general manager, there was a possibility to choose a menu but then we have eaten.

This hotel is lokated in Chinatown, when the taxi arrived we think what is this, but when you see the inside of the hotel is is SUPER.
As if you enter an other world. The breakfast was outstanding, you can take from the buffet and orden from the menucard,so everything is cooked fresh for you.I would go back there the next time i visit Bangkok. [Thailand Guiden.se integr.ERR:escaping]

Our room was so beautifully decorated I felt like princess sleeping there. Free minibar was great convenience, no other hotel I ve stayed ever offered. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. Music in the lounge was very good, but done quite early around 9 pm. Nice way to end the day with good music and a drink. Only thing wasn t impressive was the mediocre tasting breakfast; but at this location, good places to eat are abound. Highly recommended.

Very stylish rooms, would like to come back.
Everything was nice, but I prefer online booking without additional confirmations.

I am a second time return guest to Shanghai Mansion, and stayed on April 14
2010. This time my girlfriend also checked in, and was very unwell after
catching a severe bug which made it difficult for her to move freely. Door
staff were excellent, and even remembered who I was. Check in staff were
also great, friendly and kind. A Songkran pack really was a great welcome to
Bangkok. Sadly, upon taking breakfast on the first morning and being offered
by the waitress if we would like tea or coffee, I advised I would not have
anything however my partner would have water (due to her condition, she
would not drink anything else). I was abruptly pointed far away to where the
water was, and told she would have to get it herself. This gave me the
feeling that because my partner was Thai, that she should not receive the
same service as other guests. This was upsetting. This was not what I had
expected and found it to be very impolite, tarnishing the whole experience.
On the whole, this is a wonderful hotel. But, the waitress in this case
perhaps needs further training on customer service. I would consider
returning to this hotel in the future.
ThailandGuiden.se as usual were flawless, arranging the booking quickly with no
trouble. Rates were also the cheapest I could find. I would not use anyone
else when booking in Thailand for these reasons.

Very disappointing! The room was too small and the furniture too large. Access to the bed was unsuitable for older patrons ( had to climb through the bottom of the bed). The bathroom was tiny and offered little privacy. The hotel was undergoing renavation and this was not mentioned at the time of booking. To top it off, when we checked out after seeing the room, the exit from the hotel was through a grocery store (how tacky).

Super cute hotel right in Chinatown! Great location, helpful staff but careful with the concierges and taxi drivers out front - they will try to get you to go to their gem and tailor shops - where they get a cut so you will pay much more. Also make sure you insist on taxi meters for all drives otherwise the flat rate they suggest will be at least double what it will really cost you. Try the dim sum place across the street - delicious and cheap! Good thai massage place on the next st to the right 369. Spa in the hotel is closed for renos for the next year - I was very upset as that had been one of our main reasons for picking this hotel. Very cute decor and free internet and breakfast (not bad). Showers have great water pressure and are large! Excellent value for the price! [Thailand Guiden.se integr.ERR:escaping]
Excellent though a bit annoying with the multiple emails. Also Airport shuttle option did not work.

Shanghai Inn is beautifully decoraed and unlike anywhere ive stayed before- very unique. The rooms are a good size and clean and alot of thought has gone in to everything. The free breakfast was good and staff were friendly and helpful. If I had to find something internet was expensive ( 50 baht for half hr min) and theres not much to do in chinatown but tuk tuk or taxis (metered ones) are cheap and only 5-10 mins from anywhere. [Thailand Guiden.se integr.ERR:escaping]
Easy and reliable.

Rooms are very nice, but no views as stained glass windows. Taxi drivers had trouble finding the hotel, but the hotel card with a map in Thai does help. Hotel has a shuttle service, but is not immediatly on the subway/skytrain system.
very easy

Special hotel in China Town, I shall stay here next time I want to go China Town. Try the suite. Poor breakfast.
AS usual

the hotel is located in the busier area of china town, you can easily find everything here, but sometimes need to be patient because the traffic in this area could be horrible. in the hotel, everything, every details and each staff was so nice. we especially love the design and exotic atmosphere.if you have time to travel to bangkok, don t miss here.
excellent as always

A nice hotel for the money, and great staff! A bonuses are the great Chinese restaurant next door, and the supermarket underneath the hotel. Location is not far from the Golden Buddha, and the main train station.
Worked well!

A small hotel located in center of Chinatown area of Bangkok. Room was small but cozy and offered the basic things we needed; staff was friendly and helpful; worth its cost, even though I haven t visited other Bangkok hotels for comparison. [Thailand Guiden.se integr.ERR:escaping]
